Holy War: Evangelical Marines Prepare to Battle Barbarians

At first I thought this was a joke. Is it just me or does this really make us look as creepy as the rest of the world probably thinks we are?

On the other side: mothers hiding their children in the fields and fathers fighting with stones in the streets, all of them fasting Ramadhan and praying that their sins will be forgiven.

... without the gladiator costumes.
God, i think i'm going to be sick.

Yep. This was definitely one of the more disturbing things I've seen lately. Ughhh. Horrifying. I'll never understand how anyone can reconcile the idea of God (love) with the brutality of war (hate).

I hate to offend anybody, but Christianity has been a wellspring of war and hate for 2000 years, Americans are just the last in a long line to use it in such a way. Not to say that my own religious faith (judaism) has not been violent and hateful in the one minor instance that they have with State Power (Israel).
